We offer custom gear manufacturing capabilities. We can manufacture helical, double helical, herringbone, spiral bevel, involute, straight tooth gear, spline shafts, cutting, and spline cutting. We carry forgings in stock from 4140, 4150, 4340, and 8620.

Upon receiving your extruder gearbox, we will steam clean it to remove all debris before fully disassembling it. Once disassembled, we will thoroughly inspect the gearing, shafts, and bearing bores for cracks, chips, wear, distortion, and other issues. We also offer non-destructive testing. All findings will be photographed, documented, and sent over with a quote. Once you approve the estimate, we will immediately begin the repair process.

Once we’ve entirely repaired your gearbox, we will test it with our state-of-the-art test stand. Every gearbox undergoes a no-load spin test for 10 hours with Mobile SHC 630 grade oil. We check for any overheating leaks, noise, and vibrations. Once the unit has passed all tests, we will drain the oil and prep for shipping. We mark every unit with a serial number in our data system to ensure up to a 36-month guarantee that activates on the installation date.
